The term ‘wrinkle cream’ evokes images of 1940s and 1950s housewives with their faces covered in a thick white mask at bedtime. Often referred to as ‘cold cream’ or even ‘vanishing cream’ these potions were meant to moisturize and give women the feeling that they were holding the inevitable wrinkles at bay, for at least awhile.
